CAN THE NEW CHIEF OF STAFF DO ANYTHING
Published on April 28, 2006 By Bahu Virupaksha In Politics
The third Chife of Staff has taken charge at the White House. Josh Bolten, an old Texas hand, has worked as a policy analyst with George W Bush even when the junoir Buish was a Governor. His brief seems to be simple: make sure all the scandals of "Scooter Libby, Karl Rove and the CIA leajk case, are all pushed under the carpet and ensure a smooth sailing for the present President.. The Republicans are scared that come November they would lose control over Congress and with a Democratic House partisan politics armed with the power of special prosecutorm and supeana[there will be problems for Bush. The Neocon Revolution has run its full course and it is now time for some cold blooded politics of revenge and brinkmanship. The Democrats in full control will not let slip this opportunity.

Karl Rove is now being restricted to a political role. Can policy and politics be that neatly separated? It appears that these changes are merely cosmetic and are only inteded for public consumption. The Bush Presidency was lost in the deserts of Iraq 4 years ago and all Bolten's men cannot save the President from the IDES OF NOVEMBER.]
