Is the Iraq War going the Vietnam Way

Finally the Truth is coming out. In a recent article in "New York Times" Robert Novak has published a secret National Intelligence Council Report that clearly warned the Bush Administration the the War in Iraq cannot be won and that chaos will reign supreme. Everyday nearly 500 civillians are being killed in targetted Air Strikes, in clear violation of the rules of combat. The takeover of Fallujah was accomplished through massive arial bombardment near civillian sectors of the city. This war cnnot be won and ought not to have been waged.

What will the Kerry Administration likely to do. Surely just weeks before polling day we can expect John Kerry and his team to havne a "road map" to peace in the region.

The War has already started a domestic political crisis for the Republicans and it is unlikely that they can ride out the storm unleashed by the recent NIC document. Kerry in all probability will try to convene an International Conference of the major powers, the EU, the OIC and a few states of the Middle East. If one goes by the example of Afghanistan then nothing will happen.
