A New and Improved Bush

I watched the Arizona Debate very keenly, because I felt that Kerry would bushwack Bush out of the race as he did in the other two races. Though Kerry is the obvious winner, I was impressed about one or two aspects of Bush's demenour. He did not have that offensive smirk on his lips and secondly did not talk down for a change. This change in behaviour is too late to make any difference to the voter's final decision. For the first time Bush did not rave in generalities but addressed the questions posed by the moderator. He did not display an arrogance that has become a second skin. Having said this, I do not think tha this new and improved model will sell in the political marketplace.
Kerry appeared a little tired, and I was impressed with his self deprecating candour when he said that he had married up. He gave a good presentation about his domestic agenda and hauled Bush over the coals on job losses and the economy. On foreign policy and disengagement from Iraq Kerry had little to say. I for one was diaappointed. Any way John Kerry will be the next President of the USA and he cannot dodge these issues for long. Heavy voter turnout will favor Kerry anot Bush.
