Bolton must bolt if Bush is to live politically
Published on June 23, 2005 By Bahu Virupaksha In Politics
The Bolton nomination has once again got stuck in the Senate. By putting the entire weight of his political office behind him in the struggle to make Bolton his man at the UN, Bush has lost out politically. Seldom does a re-elected President lose ground politically so swiftly as did George Bush II. Bus and his neo conmen think that their narrow agenda will ispire the American people. Unfortunately they have seen through the game and are not responding. The War in Iraq is going very badly and there is no exit sttratregy still in place. The war in Afghanistan is slowly, but surely heating up. After lying low for nearly two years the Taliban is showing every sign of regathering its strength. The hunt for Bin Laden is going nowhere and Al Qeda is stronger than it ever was in the past. The patriot Act has eroded civil liberies in the USA and now the Big Brother even wants to monitor what you are reading. The FBI is trailing those taking more than a passing interest in West Asian culture and politics.

The men responsible for this sorry state of affairs do not seem to realise that the game of politics is based on more than mere rhetoric and grandstanding speeches. It is now emerging the even George Bush knew that the Iraqis lacked the weapons of Mass Destruction and that Bush and Blair together conspired to fool their people and take their nations to war over nothing.

Why do you continue to spout this garbage? Your rhetoric is showing. You never have your facts right. Your usually behind on what's happening in american policy. And what you do print is usually either outright lies or just plain political crap! How do YOU know there's no exit policy in place? Because the media hasn't told you? Bah I'm not going to bother to respond to the rest of this junk!

Your Blog is reality. The same things can be said about the Bush policy on energy, Social Security and the deficit. When you step back and take a look at where we are going and what the past 4.5 years have done, it is not hard to understand why the majority of Americans do not support what Bush wants to do. His most recent drop in support is in part because people are looking at the results of his policies and do not like what they see! It is not the media as drmiler says but the results that he does not like. The price of gas, the deficit, the cost of the war are not the fiction of the media. Even Fox is reporting the problems you mentioned in your Blog!

As usual col, you don't know what Americans support. Col, why don't you respond to the posts that show the good things happening to the economy?

Even Fox is reporting the problems you mentioned in your Blog!

Why do you emphasize Fox News?

What a great article! You have a real talent for creative writing. Have you considered a career in fiction writing? You really should look into writing for the Democrats. They're going to need people who are good at writing half-truths and nonsense political rhetoric for the next elections as they don't seem to have anything more substantial upon which to base a platform. Or at least if they do they're cleverly keeping it to themselves.

You may have a promising career as a political writer. It takes real talent to spin such fanciful works of fiction out of thin air like this. Good job!

The latest opinion polls in the USA suggesty that less than 40%of the American think that the war in Iraq was justified and the vast majority of the American population think that Bush and Blair dua got the countries into war using yhe WMD as the pretext. Now tell me who did the creative writing.

Yes, yes. It's looking bad for his re-election in 2008. Keep right on fighting the good fight, Bahu. If you keep yourself focused on Bush, I'm sure you'll keep him out of office...

(and a host of Republican hopefuls rest easy knowing the outraged are wasting their time...)

Look we have another col who uses useless polls to present his arguements.

Yes I'm quite sure carefully worded polls of a carefully targeted 1000 people truly relfects the opinions of all Americans.

According to col they do, and the President should base his policies off them.

There are a lot more then 60% of 1000 people that do not agree with Bush!

Very simple - Bush would not have made his say nothing address Tuesday night if support for the war was not going SOUTH very fast! Add the fact that Blair commented on the Downing Street memo's, which prove they do exist, and a picture of nonsupport is clear. Cheney says the insurgency is in the last gasp of existence and on the very same day the Secretary of Defense says it could take 12 years more to end the insurgency. Bush is clearly aware of the lack of support for his policies in Iraq, immigration, his Social Security solution and his continued deficit financing of the United States government.
